Help Flood Victims in Bangladesh

Dear Donors and Friends,

As many of you are already aware, devastating floods in Bangladesh have hit
villages and cities and have left people helpless with no means to escape
their despair. SpaandanB (www.SpaandanB.org), a nonprofit, charitable
organization, urges you to come forward and donate generously for this
humanitarian cause.

Flood fund drive: http://www.SpaandanB.org/flood.html

We started the flood fund drive on July 26, 2004. As of July 27th, we have
raised $4,200 for the flood victims. We sent $2,000 to Bangladesh on July
26th. Additional funds will be disbursed for the flood victims shortly.

How to donate:

Please visit http://www.SpaandanB.org/flood.html and donate using your
credit card or PayPal account.

If you would like to donate using a check, please make your check payable to
"SpaandanB", specify "For Flood Victims" as the memo and mail it to
SpaandanB, P.O. Box 64183, Sunnyvale, CA 94088.

To make a pledge, please send an email to info@SpaandanB.org or contact any
SpaandanB executive committee member. We will send the pledged amount from
our emergency fund.

For donors in the United States, please note that your donation is tax
deductible. The tax id for SpaandanB is 77-0479128. Please visit our website
for more information.

SpaandanB is grateful to
Md. Asifur Rahman Antu from Portland, Oregon,
Asif Saleh from Drishtipat at asif.saleh@gs.com,
Lopa Tasneem from Uttorshuri at lopatasneem@yahoo.com,
Zakia Afrin from Fremont, California, at z_afrin@hotmail.com
Galib Hassan from Austin, Texas at galib@ccsi.com
who joined us in the endeavor to help the flood victims in Bangladesh.
You are encouraged to contact any of the above persons in your locality.

How the funds will be used:

We are working with multiple partner organizations to provide flood relief.
Shahjalal University Flood Relief Committee and Social Advancement Through
Unity (SATU) are working in Sylhet and Tangail, respectively. Your donation
will provide the flood victims with food, pure drinking water, oral saline
and other essentials, and help to rehabilitate them. Please visit
http://www.SpaandanB.org/flood.html for an up-to-date list of the partner
organizations and their flood relief activities.

Your donation can save lives. Every cent counts!!

Please forward this plea to anyone who might be interested to help. Thank
you for your generosity!

Sincerely,

The SpaandanB Team
