Introduction

Welcome to this interim information page published by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). This page is designed to provide some introductory information concerning BTRC’s objectives for the telecommunications sector, as well as providing information concerning a consultative process to seek comments on the Bangladesh National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP). The radio spectrum is a vital scarce national resource which must be used in an efficient and effective manner by all users of the radio spectrum.

Global Citizen Festival
Related to country: Japan


Today 6th March was the “Fukushima Global Citizen Festival, 2005” in Koriama Big Parato Centre. It is a big community gathering in which motto of the festival is – “Citizen of Earth: what we could do now”. We, the team from Iino also joined in the festival.

Including JICA forty three NPO and youth organisations displayed their work, activities and caliber for serving the world people and embrace the world culture. Some centers collect donation by selling folk and indigenous products of developing countries for those children education and poverty alleviation. I was very surprised to see Japanese people’s generosity to “tsunami” effected countries’ especially to the children of Sri Lanka. There was 11 countries food restaurant, served individual country’s food and test with Japanese team. I personally looked Bangladesh or Indian food as I was missing longtime to eat Bangladeshi test. At last I got a Pakistani shop where an Indian also was selling. I ate one chapatti and chicken tikka but price is very high, 450 yen! During eating I touch the price – this food price in Bangladesh only 30-40 taka (60 – 80 yen)!

I got prices by lottery and brought “South Asian spice” (turmeric, cardamom-cinnamon power) in order to cook Bangladeshi curry in house. Every though very high price but I am happy to get at last South Asian spice in Fukushima.

To unite with world culture, I took instant photo in the Global Youth Organisation’s mobile studio by wearing Arabian dress. After enjoy youth performance on different countries dance and music performance in Global Citizen stage, I took tea JICA’s centre. During drinking tea I met and took photo with a person who was three years Bangladesh. Fluently spoke Bangla. He said, “We are very grateful to the World as Japanese food mostly comes from around the world. You are taking South African’s tea, with Hong Kong’s sweat and American Milk! During eat we don’t live in Japan, we live in the world....”. I am very relief to sea Japanese people humbleness and embracing world culture. My realization, Japanese people may dominant the world with more dignity by loving and serving, if they continue their divine views.

Sashimi & Balud

Sashimi is thinly sliced raw seafood, one of the most typical and popular Japanese food. Before visit Japan, I known about it but had strange prejudice as I had about Filipino food “Balud”. How it possible to eat raw fish! How it possible to eat baby chicken including feather and stomach! Is it heritage of primitive culture!

I have taken both Sashimi and Balud. But I did not forget the surprise of Balud as I felt the feather and raw intestines test of chicken. Balud also is the most typical food in Philippines. When inside egg baby chicken grownup, before day of born – it makes boiled! Making fractures in the top of egg and mixing salty spice it is eaten. However I vomited after take half of Balud; but now I can take easily Sashimi with satisfaction.

Before I thought Sashimi, the raw fish has a strong smile as like as Bangladeshi river fish. Actually Shashi fish has no strong order and bone, very soft as like as cooked fish. Because of good test and morning-sun-red looking sashimi becomes my favorite. It is generally served in the special occasion of Japanese family. Its pieces are eaten with soya sauce plus, or mastered. There are many kinds of Sashimi depending on type of sea fish, such as Maguro: Tuna, Toro: Fatty Tuna, Ebi: Prawn, Saba: Mackerel, Ika: Squid, Tako: Octopus; but all are boneless and soft. The most popular Sashimi are Maguro and Toro.
